Quiz: Which came first, the dachshund or the hotdog? Don’t let their “wiener dog” nickname fool you. The hotdog originally was named the “Dachshund Sausage” because it resembled the dachshund’s long body! Only later was the name shortened to hotdog. (Also available in black.)
Each wool applique double-sided dachshund ornament is drawn out, carefully cut, and handstitched by yours truly. The oval portion of the ornament measures approximately 2.75″ wide by 2″ tall. Of course because of the handmade nature of this item, minor variations may exist from one ornament to another.
